How do you explain that the recorded picked up voices you didn't hear? Presumably, if the recorded got them, it means they were within human range of hearing.
If you work with the paranormal, a recorder like that would be an important tool.
Presumably based on what? Recording equipment can certainly record sounds that a human could not hear or process.

Not all recording equipment have the ability to capture sounds above or below the frequency range of human hearing. The typical recorders that the average consumer would be more likely to have do not capture frequency ranges beyond human hearing or at least not anything you can hear by playback. There are utrasonic systems that can, but they artificially 'translate' those sounds to a range that can be heard. Such systems can cost anywhere from $250 to thousands of dollars. In addition, a very good microphone and speakers are necessary. It's pretty unlikely that the average person is going to have such a system just laying around the house to see if they can hear what their dog is hearing. If the voice of a ghost is beyond normal hearing for humans, it would also be beyond human hearing even with a recorder, unless the recorder is made to automatically alter the frequency range.
That's very true. For example, Jack Daniels can be seen in many liquor stores. And a variety of spirits have been known to inhabit night clubs. I'm sure plenty will be around tonight. Happy New Year to you Dude!
