The bolded is the intriguing part. You should take a psychic workshop to see what abilities you have. The instructors are usually well experienced in "psi" phenomena, and could give you feedback.
Not sure I want to open that door. I have gone to psychic things twice. Once with my sister in law and the psychic told me I was an earth angel , whatever that means and that I had abilities.
The second time I went with a friend to have her cards read and I guess they were psychics? one read cards one did numerology stuff. I wasn't having anything done just observing. When my friend went to use the bathroom the numerology woman asked me why I was keeping the fact that I was an empath and a psychic a secret .To which I replied because its a secret to me too!

Psychic workshops - An old friend attended a Class that gave you a Certificate!
To pass the Class one thing you had to do was flip a coin 100 xs ...and call it.
He did.
He was a fun Medium and asked me to assist him in case some 'strays' came thru...Ha, he described it as
a spirit could be headed to Calif ---see his 'beacon of light' and decide to follow it down like a Fireman's Pole...
I was to firmly tell the spirit this place was not 'for him'...and to get him out of my friend!
I'd love to find a Workshop or Class to help develop 'abilities'.
I'm loving the posts here.
Having "abilities" is not fun. Most of the time it's not!
For instance, sometimes I hear the thoughts of other people. Not often, it happened only a few times. It was not fun to say the least. You can't imagine what crappy thoughts people have in their heads all the time, it's astounding. I would not wish to be able to hear people's thoughts! I don't want to have this ability, no thanks.

When I lived in the Dallas, TX area I found several places that held similar workshops. There was a medium that would hold a gallery once a month (I think the full moon) and he was much better than any of the television mediums. The bookstore I went to has closed down but I am sure if you have any metaphysical book stores in the area they have classes of some type.

Telepathy is real and there are practices you can learn to keep yourself from not hearing thoughts unwillingly. And practices you can do to keep others from being in your head as well. The key word is practice. I am not sure if there are any actual teachers in this, most of what I know I learned myself. It isn't always a gift, so there has to be a way to learn how to turn it on and off or at least recognize the patterns of when it happens so you can figure out why.

My "sensitivity" has brought a lot of grief into my life.
Most people have some sort of sense or ability to "read" others well.
(I'm making general statements.)
Regarding past lives, the important thing to think of is, that wisdom is for helping you live a current better life. You're supposed to be making progress.
