According to the mayan calander 2012 is the the end of a cycle, it has nothing to do with the end of the world. Where do people come up with these crazy notions?

I think come Dec. 2012, it will be a historical marker... Existence beyond the Mayan calendar!! Maybe a holiday? Human Day, maybe? I always would like another holiday... especially one that isn't political...
