I never doubted we were going to leave the EU. The UK is a democracy, and never tires of telling the world so. The majority of voters said they wanted to leave. The Tories called the vote, and had to stand by the result.

You are right, the fun will begin once we trigger article 50. I believe some in the EU thought somehow, someway, we would not leave the EU. Now they know differently, and once we're out, I hope the Germans have got deep pockets to support the rest of the gang.

I have just watched Theresa May's speech at the Tory conference. Boy, she told Europe just where to get off, and then some. In nice diplomatic language of course. Even wee Jimmy Crankie in charge of Scotland, got told where to go. She said the UNITED KINGDOM is leaving the EU. Suck on that Nicola!!.......

Let's not get to carried away. The fun has not started yet, and not all shots are going to be called by the UK.
Perhaps May too may have to do some sucking. She who laughs last laughs best.

Red....... Red....... you know this is a glorious day, and I know you know it is............ Elections next year in France and Germany? You think Angela Merkel is going to the German people, and saying, "I'm going to teach those Brits a lesson! High tariffs, and lots of jobs lost in Germany"........ I don't think so.

We're in the driving seat, and you know it............. cue the music..........

Just visited BBC to read some key quotes of May's speech. Wow, is she already running for re-election? Take a deep breath May and tone down just a little.

She'll call an election in the New Year, and win by a country mile. Labour will be slaughtered, and May will have the mandate to do what she wants. As the majority of voters want! Once we're out of the EU, we can set about ridding this country of Europe's rubbish. First plane full of Eastern European pickpockets will be a good start.

I never thought this day would come. I thought there was no way out. Then Dave Cameron stupidly offered us a vote on EU membership. It's all yours red......... good luck..........

Personally I think May has been watching this vid far too much; but seems rather apposite somehow, especially the "...there maybe trouble ahead...." bit. In fact looking at the full lyrics you would think it was written by a BREXITer!

You think you are in the driving seat, but you are still driving on the wrong side of the road. It takes two to tango and Merkel has been been doing it a lot longer than May.
