Gun Ownership Statistics by State - Demographic Data
^ Even the first line of that report, is worrying in itself:

"With 88.8 guns per 100 residents, US has the highest gun ownership rate in the world."

Someone has been watching too many cowboy films!

I think it would suit you... maybe a hat too, to go with it?

Just before Christmas, my daughter asked me "Have we got any crackers?". I said "Yes, they are in the kitchen".

Later on, she explained to me that she couldn't see them. I was puzzled by why she couldn't find them in there.

So I went in the kitchen with her, and pointed to a big orange box of Jacob's Crackers For Cheese. She said "No, I meant the ones you pull!".

Well, there are lies, damned lies and statistics.

That does not mean that 89 people out of a hundred has a gun. It means that some gun owners have multiple guns. The average gun ownership is around 31 out of a hundred. Still higher than most countries but much lower than that misleading statistic.

Not quite sure why you are worried unless you plan to live in the USA.

Yes, I did realise that. It's still a high number of guns, per 100 people, though.

I meant that it's a worrying statistic, in general - not that I'm planning to live there, or anything like that.
