I think most decent people would allow Boris some time to see what he can make of Brexit before denouncing him.
Call it the British sense of fair play if you will.
It's no coincidence that those who were first and loudest with their abuse of Boris after his win are the same people who want to overturn the democratic Brexit vote.
They have coarsened the public discourse and simply strengthened the resolve of those who voted to Leave.
I wish the man good luck with the immensely difficult task he faces - anyone who loves our country should wish him well too.
It's also worth pointing out that 8 of Britain's 15 PMs since 1945 have arrived in office between elections.
More people voted for Johnson than for any of his predecessors who came to power between elections.
I think that regular news items on television have been stupid re the new Prime Minister. By that I mean they waffle about the miniscule vote for the new PM as a contradiction of the millions who vote. Kind of nonsensical as whatever party is in power it's leader becomes automatically into that jon.
May I also say as a side issue to John-UK the map you inserted earlier showing the votes in the UK was well out of date as it showed the situation BEFORE the last General Election and that the Scottish Conservatives increased from one Westminster MP to 13.
BTW, Johnson's name is Alex being called Al by his family. He called himself Boris, a middle name, because he thought it would stand out, drawing attention to himself. And to divert attention away from his Turkish roots.
Just last week, MPs voted to ban the new prime minister from blocking Parliament between October 9 and December 18 in fear that Johnson would push through a no-deal Brexit without their approval. [BBC]
The best path to a negotiated Brexit is credible actionable threat of no-deal Brexit.
Those who don't understand that are stupid, and those who pretend they don't understand that are saboteurs and traitors.
