Yorkie, the one set in the smoking room of an office was called.........The Smoking Room.

I remember seeing the first episode but I think that was about it. I never got into Early Doors as I seem to remember something else was on at the same time on another channel.

Yes, Fawlty Towers! Only a few episodes but so well written and performed.

Another one in the drama category is Upstairs, Downstairs. A bit dated now, probably filmed in the 70s and was about a family from c1910 to 1929, but I still watch the tapes every so often. One of the best British drama series ever.

Another of those shows I found funny as a kid, but not now. My taste has changed.

I agree, it is very dated. There again it is ancient.

I loved that back in the 70's and still watch it when I can. Another one from the 70's was The Onedin Line - absoulute class. I see it's on DVD, so guess what I'll be ordering next.

Oooh and another one from the 70's is Brideshead Revisited, which was a series based on Evelyn Waughs classic novel and starred Jeremy Iron (had a crush on him) and Anthony Andrews. I think Britian produced a lot of good drama back then...can't say the same for the comedy.
