Park City is a great place to raise families.

Default A few different aspects

A couple of things worthy of mention in my mind, that are not usually covered in these threads. I lived in Park City for 15 years, 30 years total in Utah. I've now been gone from PC for 15 years, but live within 25 minutes and go there 3-4 times a week. I've no small kids so cannot comment on schools....but I do have dogs, cats and one of the nice things about this area is no problem with ticks or fleas. In fact, no problem with any kind of bugs or mosquitos at all. I've lived in the south (VA), west coast (SD, SF) and equatorial Pacific (Guam, Saipan) and I hate bugs. Another thing, emission control inspections not required in PC (they are required in SLC)......just an example of how clean and clear the air is up here. And many, many winter days are clear with very blue skies....not so in SLC with its' inversions. There is limited reasonable $$ housing on the edges of PC while Heber (moreso than Midway) has some reasonable $$ housing. My daughter just got an apartment in Heber for around $800/mo.
Park City is, more and more, a bedroom community for the Salt Lake valley and is still the best commute on the compass. Unless weather is a factor, the commute from most areas of PC is no more than 30 minutes and seldom will there be bumper to bumper traffic. Unfortunately, the Park City corridor from I-80 is a small area and the traffic right around town can get a little hectic (for my tastes anyway).
