Still looking at Oxnard houses and I have a questions about weather patterns there. A friend of mine has a place in the mobile home park at Hollywood Beach and he said that often times it's very foggy in the AM.
He goes on to say that it's usually not foggy (or not so much) a few miles inland like North Oxnard. Just wanted to check with any of you folks that live in the area (NO) and see what your experience is.
Thank you for your help!

This has been the summer of no summer over most of Oxnard. The beach can be socked in with fog all day sometimes. On those days, north Oxnard still gets fog, but usually manages to eek out a few hours of sunshine form around 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It's cold by 4 p.m. But, again, that's on "those days," when it's foggy. Other times, the weather is pretty consistent the city over. The extreme north-east Oxnard (i.e. St. John's Hospital) might two or three degrees warmer than areas closer to the beach, but that's about it. The afternoon ocean breeze tends to kick in throughout the city from around noon to 5 p.m.

I live in North Oxnard and it can get foggy and as Winston Smith has stated this year we didn't have a summer. Many days this year were infact very foggy and overcast. Not that it would be as bad as Hollywood Beach. The closer you are to the water the closer you are to the fog. One problem with the North end is that especially where I live we are not to far away from the river bottom and much of the land west of the North Side is open land. I am no way knowledgable on fog patterns but from what I see nothing to stop the fog from rolling in. Then again I have seen fog in Thousand Oaks rolling in from Malibu over open land into the TO area. Not too long ago we were taking the kid to the beach because it was nice and sunny at our place and we found the beaches all socked in.
