You mean the "cookie cutter" parts of Oxnard. Still more demonstration of your lack of knowledge.... eh, or more likely: troll ambitions.

Or your lack of getting the point...which is odd since it was made explicit in the second sentence...

The point of course is that, Ventura County as a whole is "cookie cutter" and any difference between cities is going to be of degree and not kind.

Wink Alright, 'kids', it's time...

...to quit your bashing and I'm not seeing trolling from user_id, Winston Smith. Everyone has an opinion and we are all passionate about ours...and depending on the subject, sometimes unbudging. Is that wrong? Mmm...ask my opinion.

Crime can happen anywhere...just on Monday, I was in South Beach in Miami and my car was burgularized...all my stuff STOLEN..who would think that this would happen just across the street from the police station!

I've been in Oxnard more than 10 years and no issues...crime exists everywhere.
Even Simi Valley has an area where I no longer go near at night, and sometimes not even during the day. Went to my bank in that area on Friday about 7:00pm and there were gang bangers in the parking lot dealing drugs from their car. Had a good number of "clients" there as well.

I can tell you this...when we received notice that my daughter-in-law was given an appointment to get her biometrics done for immigration in Oxnard instead of Los Angeles we were thrilled and grateful. Granted, Oxnard does have its rougher areas, but this is common for any mid to large sized city now.

What area? I don't even like Simi Valley, but I don't know of any area that is unsafe "even during the day"...

Gang bangers dealing drugs in a bank parking lot in the day-light? That sounds...unlikely.

When people talk about "gang members" I always wonder how they are determining who is and who isn't a gang member.

Sadly, it may sound unlikely but I'm sure it happens as boldness is like a badge of honor for some. And actually, determining 'gang identification' is really not difficult if you simply see the dress, interaction, etc. so don't question the poster on what they saw...when you were not actually there.

Yeah, I think I saw that movie too, but in reality how exactly does one determine whether someone is in a gang? Gang members, especially when selling drugs in bank parking lots don't exactly have incentives to be easily identified as drug selling gang members... it tends to, you know, lead to arrest instead of making money selling drugs.

Real life, sweetie. I'm beginning to think that you may not get out much but your naiveness is endearing. Stay sweet but learn the ways of the world and you will make it through just fine.
