Update: Things have really broken my way these past few months. Now I've received a verbal offer of a job in Ventura county itself. Not only that, but the job is a dream come true. I'm moving into East Ventura today. The location isn't ideal but it should serve well as an interim base while I look for a house closer to downtown. I`ll keep you posted on my progress and hopefully I'll be seeing some of you around town before too long!

Sigh. Nothing is ever easy. After a month of uncertainty, I now have at least 2-3 more months of additional uncertainty to which to look forward. My job offer in VC was solid, but is now on-hold for an indeterminate with a not-negligible chance of vanishing altogether, and I'm likely to receive a better offer to work in El Segundo soon.
Meanwhile, I'm working/commuting 12 hour days, so I barely have time to enjoy Ventura, except on weekends. >
I like El Porto and all, but I like Ventura a lot better!
