Moorpark college is located in a very residential neighborhood community. It is surrounded by three, four and five bedroom homes. You might consider renting a room. I used to live a few blocks from Moorpark College and I rented out rooms to students for eight years - mostly to EATM kids (the animal training students). You could also check out Simi which would probably as easy a drive as from the western side of Moorpark (Peach Hill, Mountain Meadows, and out near the new Moorpark High School).

Moorpark College is one of the better community colleges in Southern California. Good choice.

There is no place in you need to avoid. There is no wrong side of the tracks in the
Thousand Oaks area. It's always at the top of the "safest cities in America" lists.
It's lovely and civilized and the people are well-bred, educated, polite and friendly.
Welcome!
