Just wondering why there isn't a seperate category for Ventura County? Mod, would it be possible to have one?

I've asked about this, or rather creating a section for the "tri-counties" (Ventura, Santa Barbara, SLO) but they just said "They will when there are enough posts to justify it".

I'm in Ventura County. Count me in as wanting our own separate board. *Raises hand*

Sorry to be the downer. In my experience on this board, the Tri Counties are too disparate to warrant a common forum. People seeking info on the Tri Counties area rarely compare Ventura, SB, SLO. The info sought is usually mutually exclusive. So, a "no" vote here.

Thanks for your input

However, considering that the counties f Ventura, SB and SLO most likely were hosts to the first European settlers BEFORE other counties, like Los Angeles, wouldn't it be fair for separate categories to be created for these counties? Cabrillo stopped in present day Ventura County in 1542. Portollo and his men were in Ventura County before they ever stepped foot in Los Angeles. I think the histories and importance of these Tri-Counties is being woefully neglected

I think a tri-county category would be a good idea. I see lots of posts if you add together SLO area, Thousand Oaks/Simi/Ventura/Oxnard/Camarillo/Westlake, Santa Barbara and the area, etc etc. Personally I think there are enough posts to justify it.

I know the population of the overall area is pretty low, but the three counties do cover a pretty good-sized chunk of land.
