Anyone remember when they connected Gainsborough through to Lynn? I remember it dead ended at Redwood when we first moved there when I was a kid.

I just did a quick search of historical photos in the TO library, maybe to get something from Ed Lawrence - no luck. I then used Historic Aerials and the earliest photos they have of that area is 1980 and Gainsborough went all the way west to Lynn then - but it those apartment condos look like they are under construction or have recently been constructed. (Google Earth only goes back to 1989 for that area.)

You could try checking Zillow to see when the homes built on the connecting stretch were built. Chances are the homes and the road were built around the same time.
