No, I wouldn't of believed it if I didn't know her so well. Her car was completely crushed in, no room to survive in it.

I agree that there are examples where the seat belt did more harm than good, but statistically those cases are rare. There have been several over the years that I can recall, roll-overs where being ejected is the kiss of death. I wear my belt and hope that I won't be in one of those freak accidents where the seat belt causes my death, but then I am an odds-player :-)
