I am not aware of people going to forclosure due to late property taxes...I have been late a couple of times, once 3 weeks, and it wasn't a big deal, just paid the interest for being late. It was my fault, just forgot about it.

I am not an expert in this area so hopefully others will post regarding people who went to forclosure after being late with tax payments in Vermont. I assume there is some time limit where it then goes to unpaid.

I don't think one is forced into forclosure if your late in the time "it takes to blow your nose".

IIRC - Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury Center sold

900 Dozen cider donuts over the 3 day weekend...

Cold Hollow is one of my favorite places to take people when we're in the area...and I never pass up a cider donut. Or a cider anything, actually.

imho...
People who have had 'apple juice" but haven't had apple cider have missed one of life's great joys. And I like apple juice

I read an article about them recently, but can't remember where (probably the Stowe Reporter). This is, obviously, their busy season...apparently, they import a lot of their apples from outside of VT as they need more than VT produces.

I always stop there on my up as well...I am particularly partial to the cider jelly.

Oh, and on a side note, of COURSE it's going to be raining all this weekend. Sigh. We might not come up now...I juggled my schedule around like crazy to clear up Monday, but since we're coming up with friends, we don't want to have that uncomfortable 'what are we doing now' feeling if it's raining the whole time...some rain is fine, but three days worth may cause us to stay home.

My parents left LMTC around 2 on Saturday afternoon and it took them 1/2 hour to get from Moscow to Waterbury thanks to Ben & Jerry. Yikes!

OH - and on a side note - though I think the 'official' apple picking season ended this past weekend, is there still some picking available if we do come up this weekend? If so, anyone know of any orchards close to Stowe/Waterbury?
