Depends whether you mean West Dover or East Dover-don't really know about the Dover in between (subsuming both East & West sides, which are on either side of forested hill).
West has tourist amenities (restaurants & condos), ski resort, and shuttle bus (along Rte. 100 N down to Wilmington, which as a larger town-more densely populated-has coffee shops, grocery store, and apartments)-slightly more urban/contemporary.
East emphasizes the history and is a bit more "off the beaten path", incl. church, a post office that shares building with small general store, and rural homes tucked away on twisty windy narrow drives. Seems more like where one would "get away from it all" (the hustle & bustle).
