Does anyone have any links or information on this? Are there any local or neighborhood groups in the Old North End that are working for revitalization of the area?

Also I know that there is a lot of talk about the process of Elem. School zone changes and school reform in that area. Does anyone of an insight or info on that? How many years out is the plan from taking effect?

We are considering the idea of moving into a rental home along the far Old North End to be within walking distance of the beach, parks, shopping, etc also it would be less expensive to live in that area. I would likely become part of the local neighborhood revitalization and school reform/improvement efforts. Since I am passionate about those things and have the time since I am a STAM. However I want to get some more insight on this as we do have 2 small children and need to be in a safe area. Though I would think even the worst area of town there is much safer then where we live now. Any local insight here is welcome.
