Does it have a similar vibe to Bratt and Putney? How does it differ?

Dummerston is way smaller than Bratt or Putney, basically a backroads intersection with a church and a few houses. I remember many years ago there was a pic in Nat Geo of all the apple pies lined up in the pews for a community supper. If your looking for uber rural living, it's a nice place.

Do the ruralsters there maintain that crunchy/granola feel? And thanks for the feedback...

Dummerston and Guilford definitely do not have the Bratt/Putney feel IMO. Both more rural, small town centers, if you can call them that. Guilford has a country store, Dummerston has the grange hall, town hall and church and TG, Walker's Farm Seem like nice towns to live in, short drive to Bratt

I've never thought of either town having the crunchy/granola feel, more of the old-time VT feel.

So if we were looking for crunchy/granola living in the Brattleboro school district, our best bets are Bratt, Putney, and Marlboro? We want acreage, rural, secluded, but with that vibe. I know you lose a bit of that with rural living, just trying to find our best bet.
