I'd like to get an idea of what people are paying for propane. I'm in Rutland. Our last delivery was at 3.39/gal this past spring(2011). Anyone?

Sorry, I live in Rutland, but we don't use propane. I'll ask around.

Man we must really be leveraging our bulk quantity (small condo complex) and owned tank. We really do not pay a lot for propane. It is WAY under what the department of energy thing says (PDF floating around here that compares energy costs). I want to say it was well under 2 dollars last year. They got a new billing system and I cant see old bills. They do nail me with $8 a month even if I don't use any gas... lol.

You can't compare having your propane delivered with taking a tank yourself and having it filled up. Gas companies that deliver have the expense of paying a driver, gas for the very expensive delivery truck plus the thru the roof liability insurance.

Here in the MRV we have at least 6 companies who deliver. The situation with the company owned tanks is definately a klusterf***.

I just checked our propane bill for 12/3 delivery and it was $4.87/gallon, so I'm going to look into it. In April it was $3.14/gal.

I see ads in the paper for right around $2/gal, i think it ranges from 1.85 to 2.15, depending on volume. It's part of a buying co-op or club.
