The state was pretty libertarian for most of its history and did fairly well...perhaps we're using different definitions, the politics were pretty moderate here for a long time...

Thanks for the input & keep it coming.Attending a town meeting sounds like a good idea considering the job I seriously want.How do I find when the next one is?
BTW the job/career I am in the hiring process for is State Trooper.I really respect what they do.

Also can you expand on some of the larger issues that the people ov VT are at odds about?
Am I correct when I say that things such as environment,gay marriage & the protecting the environment are a few?Any others??

Town Meeting Day is the first Tuesday in March, so this year it will be March 2.

They're open to the public, even for people who are not registered voters in the town.
