I had cousins there a couple years ago. And there parents did nothing but complain, about the school being full of slim ball teachers. Not sure exactly what they meant. But considering the quality of my cousins, I would think they didn't cater to them like there parents thought they should. But that is about all I can tell you. The town itself seems lower income but the outskirts are real nice. In the summer Nickles Ledge is good swimming.

Default schools in Hardwick, Vt.

Hardwick is fortunate to have a decent school system. While not large enough to offer certain sports or programs, those offered are broad ranged and indepth. The system is the largest in it's supervisory district. Along with a nationally accepted level of academics, it also has one of the best developed Forestry programs in the state through it's Hazen Technology and Career Center. I should also add, that each level school has it's own bands and membership into one commences at the 4th grade level. Recognizing that public education generally can not keep up with a private school education, the standards offered in Hardwick are good enough to keep up with a "better" public school.
As a student, one usually does not appreciatte what is being given to them. As an adult and a graduate of the Hardwick School System, I must state that I am very proud of the education that I received . Not only have I been enhanced by the education offered, but also my children and, now, my grandchildren.
Hardwick, keep up the good work.
