I am looking at going camping fairly soon and I am wondering if we are allowed to target practice at any misc camp sites? If it is allowable, I am wondering as to where might be the best place in the green mtn nat forest?

As recently from WY, we were allowed adn I am wondering if it is any different here?

Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance!

Chad-

There's some developed recreation sites you're not supposed to shoot in, and there's some rules about distances from campsites, etc., but, generally, yes, you can...

Thanks and no issues, even with the sheriffs. The atomic bugs, however, were another issue!

Stoopid things won't let me get any yard work done.
Once one finds you it's all over.

Are those the same as the "noseums" (not sure about spelling). When I lived in Rutland I used to hear people talk about them, but never experienced one myself.

no-see-ums. Those are actually the tiny little biting flies that are hard to see.

No-see-ums or noseeums are a nickname for biting midges. The terms 'biting midge' and 'no-see-um' are synonymous. The word 'no-see-um' is a fitting nickname for the biting midge, as biting midges are so small and very difficult to spot.
A biting midge will go after any exposed skin. Within a few hours after a bite, you will start to feel acute itching at the spot of the bite. The irritation can last anywhere from a few days to several weeks depending on your sensitivity to the bite(s).
