I think I am going to take a wait and see stance.... none of the early titles let alone the launch titles really grab me... and a bunch of remakes of games I already have is hardly reason to get a new handheld for me.
I will wait a year or so to see how the line up shapes up, and to see if they do their usual price cuts or new versions.
Wait and see. It's either that or the PSP2. That's supposed to be the power of a PS3 in your hands. Probably more fun video games too but that's just my opinion. Either way, it's best to wait at least a few months after they're released to work the "kinks" out and see what games pop up for each one.
Meh. This is definitely not going to be a first-day purchase. Region locking and continued use of Friend Code system (though modified) are the major disappointing factors.
Other than Pilotwings Resort(and boo to Nintendo for not releasing a Pilotwings game since Pilotwings 64!), there aren't really many games that jump to my attention that I want to get on the initial round of 3DS games. Plus, it's launch price is $250, which is a little high for my comfort(was hoping the launch price would be closer to $150-200).
I completely agree with you Rita, this is a system I won't be getting for some time. Plus, there are still VERY MANY DS and GBA games I've yet to play, that I've always wanted to....

+1 on this thought. I have both a GBA SP, and a DS that I use on a rather irregular basis, but would love to try out the multitude of games available for both systems.
I tend to use the DS more now, with its GBA compatibility, but I still dig my Retro "classic" version of the GBA SP (was sold only for a limited time... even got a rare t-shirt from the deal when they were first being sold at the now defunct Circuit City), especially with its original Gameboy and Gameboy Color support. Plus, games can be had for cheap now for the GBA and relatively cheap for the DS.
we have been trying to figure out between a Wii or a xbox360...currently have a xbox original
What is the 3DS? It's a new version of the Nintendo DS handheld that has the ability to show games (and other things) in 3D without the use of glasses. Heck, it can even take 3D pictures. Oh, and it costs about as much as a console.
Now, as for the Wii vs the 360, that's another matter entirely - based purely on preferences on gaming choices and styles.
