Lately, I got Deux Ex for $10 on Amazon. Used the activation code on Steam and it downloaded and installed on Steam. Next game was Total War Medieval II with all 4 expansion packs... turned out it was a non Steam game so it used Amazon's Downloader and it downloaded to a Desktop folder. When I finished the 12 gb download I copied all the install files to my 3TB Western Digital External USB 3.0 drive. Saved it to an /Amazon/Total War Medieval II folder then I installed it and it installed with no problems. Played the game and I was pissed off with controlling soldier formations and positions and so I thought it was a junk $2 game. Now Total War Shogun 2 is the game to play...
Anyway, today - 12/25/2011 Modern Warfare is cheaper on Amazon at $35 vs Steam's Sale at $45. So that's a great price since I heard MW3 has had 1 billion in sales so far...
Maybe this thread should be a continuous Amazon for Steam Sale thread!
On my Amazon bought Deux Ex I can buy all the Steam DLCs for it too! That's important!
Edit:L after seeing reviews that the single player campaign in MW3 is 4 to 6 hrs long I said this is just a $10 to $15 game. So many bad reviews of it here:

I wouldn't pay $35 for a game that lasts 6 hrs or so... I don't even play MP that much.
