I should have asked about video games that are slower-paced for those of us whose reflexes are not what they used to be.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a good one for older folks. It has a slower pace with a great story and the weapon system isn't overly complicated. The Uncharted games are pretty good too...some gunplay action but most of the game is adventure, puzzles and exploring.

I always like the turn-based strategy games (usually historical war simulation-type games) for the slower pace, but those are few and far between on the consoles and they get a bit geekish.

On the consoles, any game is good as long as it has a pause function and stay out of online gaming. I can't keep pace with the kids in the basements that play Call of Duty for 12 hours straight.

MMO's are perfect for that. I play both WOW and ESO. I've found guilds that are full of retirement age folks.
We had several who had some disabilities but we included them in our group "raids" once per week.

MMO's are slow paced and you can do what you want. I'm currently into ESO and collecting materials to make furniture for my many homes.

Sure, as long as you’re really willing to commit, otherwise MMO’s will offer little payoff.
