-Where you are working
-How much you are willing to spend on housing
-How long of a commute you're willing to tolerate
-If you have kids: Private school or public school?
-What type of neighborhood environment you are looking for: small town feeling? small city excitement? suburbia delight?
-Community amenities important to you
-Pie or cake?
I could be working in the town of Woodstock.
I would be renting an appartment/townhouse for at least the first year to make sure I like the area.
I would be willing to make a 45 min. commute to work.
I do not have children, but am interested in schools since I am a teacher.
I am looking for a suburban neighborhood to live in.
The community I live in would need to have shopping areas for my wife within about 30-60 mins.
Cake.

Now a little about myself. I'm a 20 something teacher (high/middle school) looking to get out of the stagnant job market of Pennsylvania. I live in a mid sized town in Western Pennsylvania, population about 20,000, which has everything that my wife and I need to feel comfortable.

She is a suburban girl who grew up in a white picket fence type neighborhood with neighbors nearby and would like to live in a similar area.

We are looking for a town that has a shopping mall with some nice stores think Sears, JC penny, New York & Co., etc. At least a few chain resturants to choose from, and she would like to have an outlet mall within an hour drive.

After considering all of this, the only town of size that I can find is Winchester. Would this town meet most of our general needs? Or should I consider removing the Valley from my job search.
