Roundtop,
I e-mailed you some hotels. Your choices are Staunton and Lexington.
With all that is going on at the Virginia Horse Center, Staunton is your best choice.
From Craigsville, take Rt 42 north to Rt 254 East all the way into Staunton. About 15 miles.
Hope this helps

We are currently staying in Lexington, VA at the Hampton Inn Col Alto in historic Lexington, VA. It is not your typical Hampton Inn. The grounds are just beautiful (7 acres) with lots of magnolia trees, etc. The hotel lobby area is an 1827 building that has been renovated but kept the old southern plantation house charm. There are several rooms in it (I think 10?) with furnishings of that era. You also get breakfast served in the room in those rooms. In addition, there is a newer building of more traditional hotel rooms. Our room is a king room with a balcony overlooking the pool which is really pretty. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
