Those of you who think VA is bad should try NY.

The fact that I can open carry a gun or knife in VA leads me to think that, no, not really a police state.

Recent trip back from VA, I think I saw 2 cops from VA to NJ. Once we hit NY, I had to go through 3 toll booth within 45 minutes, and must have seen 10 cop cars in between NJ border and our home which is about a hour and half above the state line. Prob 4 or 5 people pulled over.

Generally with 65 and 70 mph speed, I dont really go over the speed limit much, and I havent been pulled over since the 90s.

Use your brain, if you speed excessively, youre going to get pulled over. Do you really have to do 80 or 90 mph?

I think it was this thread that discussed the notorious spots. I returned from NC yesterday and sure enough, someone was pulled over at both Emporia and Hopewell.

Default Yes

I sure do notice they have an awful lot of police out on the roads...well speaking for I-81 anyway.

As the cops are out enjoying themselves they are slowing down traffic and bringing stress to peoples lives. RD for going 80 in a 70 is cow manure. Shame on VA for being so deliberate in their attempt to generate revenue.

A town called Keene NH used to tow cars and fine them people quickly upon expiration of meter reads...the town's people fought back: http://http://www.reuters.com/articl...94E1C720130515

I don't usually see that much passion in the South...y'all generally just bend over and take it, or are ignorant enough to think this harassment is normal.

I wouldn't say Virginia is a police state, but traffic enforcement is ridiculous, abnormal, excessive, and unacceptable in this state.

The same angry new hampshire-ian has said the same thing on multiple threads. He's obviously been cited in Virginia for either speeding or reckless driving. Maybe we'll get asked if he needs an attorney.

Your thought process is ridiculous, unacceptable and quite honestly baffling.

No its the truth and the post is pure gold

People in the south bend over for local corruption that type of thing would never happen in NH

I was not a Navy Seal. But I was an officer in the VT ARNG. I wasn't creative enough the day I signed up. With that being said, for having been a representative of the State of VA (or so you claim) you sure have a big mouth. If you'd like I'd be happy to show you a copy of my DD214's, Guard Separation Papers, Honorable Discharge Certificate, and valid military ID (which never expires for officers) with my picture and O-2 Rank.
