Just came back from Virginia...and we travelled from Sandstone, Richmond and then all the way through via Charlotteville to Norfolk Virginia Beach.......

Gees, its soooo hard to choose........But for us, my husband (an American, and me, a Brit) we are still missing Williamsburg with a heartache so heavy......but it was all soooo good.

Virginia is beautiful, beyond belief.....and its people, its places are lovely.

I cannot commend the folks of this gorgeous state enough...soooo polite,,,so freindly....sooo geniune, it reminds me of the manners, respect and values we used to have in my area of London many years ago...and of which I would love my grandchildren to experience today.

You should all, be so proud of your youths in this State...I am still in awe of the kids in this entire state...black or white...we could learn so much from you all here in London, England...You have kids that return smiles, hold open doors for you, say thank you and your welcome.............omg, in London kids here would challenge you in eye contact...it sad but true....it breaks my heart to realise how fractured we have become here in London.

Thank you for instilling in me, a faith, in the human race....Viva la Virginia

Snow............(h)

Snow, thank you for your kind comments about our state and our residents!! it is nice to hear such heart warming comments. I know I work hard to get my son to: a) open doors b) be polite c) respect his elders. and when someone else notices and comments on it, it makes it worth it.

We will welcome to our state with open arms!! IF you have any questions about the Norfolk/Va. Beach area, don't hesitate to ask. and you are right, Williamsburg is just beautiful. I love being so close to it, I can go for lunch, but live at the beach : )
