Who owns the Zips/7-eleven property? That's an entire block that would be a candidate for development. Zips and 7-eleven could locate themselves in the new building.

It's amazing at how many new developments have been built in College Park the last 10 years and there's still opportunity for more. College Park was that sad. lol

It is great to see.

Calvert Hills residents would have a fit lol

The developer who plans to redevelop the Campus Village
Shopping Center in Lakeland will include Town Hall Liquors
and the adjacent gas station in his plan, too. Time frame for development is to begin in 2024 and completion date is 2026

Are they ever going to bring back the College Park Development Updates? So much going on in CP, and its so hard to find centralized source for all the construction happenings, all the openings and closings. It was great to read.

It is not 100% certain it will be student housing. While LV Collective currently has no nonstudent properties, it has two multifamily apartment projects under construction in Austin and a third in Phoenix.

Subdivsion filings are pending filing with the County to build about 230 townhomes on the west side of Baltimore Avenue in north College Park. About 100 homes would be built south and west of Maza Grand Marc and about 130 homes would be built south of Cherry Hill Road. The builder would be Stanley Martin.

Oh, that's a nice wooded area. It's sad to keep losing trees. At least they're townhomes and single-family houses.

Nice scoop from Christine Zhu of The Diamondback, University of Maryland student paper. Trader Joes opening in Oct 1.

https://twitter.com/christinezhu142/...65762560524295

SCOOP: Trader Joe's is projected to open its first Prince George's County location in College Park on Oct. 1, according to a spokesperson for real estate company Bozzuto. The store will be part of the Aster residential community on Baltimore Avenue.

Speaking of TJ's, WTOP has a short article on The Aster, the apartment complex above the Trader Joes. https://wtop.com/business-finance/20...w-trader-joes/

393 units. One to three bedrooms Pricing ranges from 2,000 to 4,000. Surprised 1 bedrooms can fetch for 2k, can't people find comparable or cheaper prices even in better locations closer to DC? Or IN DC?
