Aviation Landing is a very large project to replace the current warehouse type development near the airport and the tennis center. I heard a little about it recently and am anxious to hear the details.

I don't really see any other shuttles from other universities. They would be the "new" residents that may decide on College Park.
For several years Bowie State had contracts with the Enclave and Mazza GranMarc to house some of their students while more campus housing was to be built. Bowie State has had bus service to these apartments, but I have not seen any Bowie State buses this fall. Nor sure about 2021-22 school year either, as Enclave was closed for renovation and construction for that entire school year.

I thought about Bowie but figured housing in College Park would be more expensive. Nice to know that they too live/lied in College Park for a time.

GrillMarx at the UMD Hotel opening soon? Apparently they hold the UMD Football Coach radio show at the GrillMarx in Columbia. This article was written in August. So, It is now November. so, I'm not sure where the author of the article got the info that the College Park location would be open in September according to the posted schedule. I don't think the new restaurant is open just yet. They may still be holding that radio show in Columbia.

Quote:
COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- During the 2022 football season, catch up with Maryland Head Coach Michael Locksley each week as the Terrapins prepare for their upcoming game. 'Talking Terps with Coach Locks presented by Window Nation' will be broadcast live from GrillMarx each game week of the season and can be heard on the Maryland Sports Radio Network.

The show premieres on Thursday, September 1 at 7 p.m. The first two episodes of the season will be broadcast live from the GrillMarx Columbia location. The remaining 10 episodes will be held at the new GrillMarx College Park location.

Groundbreaking could occur within two years, with the first phase opening in the next four years, said Ken Ulman, the university’s chief strategy officer for economic development and TDC president.
Unfortunately, we're heading into very unfavorable economic times. I wouldn't expect a groundbreaking soon. I'd extend the timeline another 2 years.

This is interesting:

https://www.kabircares.org/?s=paint+branch+playground

(a) For several years the City has requested M-NCPPC fund a pedestrian bridge from the Paint Branch Playground to the trail on the western side of the river. This
small connection will greatly enhance access to the playground and frisbee golf course, the Aviation Museum, the tennis facility, and other amenities. Unfortunately, there has not been any money included in the budget for this project. The Council requests that M-NCPPC include capital funding for the north College Park Community Center in anticipation of the completion of the feasibility study this fall.

Is this related to the new Aviation devt?
