My husband and I are relocating "back" to Maryland to the Bel Air area. Being from Annapolis, I am not that familiar with Bel Air. Can anyone suggest any neighborhoods keeping within a few miles of Bel Air schools where the houses are not RIGHT on top of each other? Or any suggestions of neighborhoods where not to buy? Our children are 8, 6 and 3. THANKS!

I'll assume you want to be near Wakefield Elementary, Homestead Elementary, Bel Air Middle, and Bel Air High School.

Some of the local neighborhoods are:
Homewood and Homewood Village
Wakely Terrace
Wakefield Meadows
Fairmont
Forest Lawn
Shamrock

Most of these neighborhoods feature older homes. Some are closer together than others, but I would not consider any of them on top of each other.

I believe any neighborhood east of Ring Factory Road will be served by Ring Factory Elementary and Patterson Mill. There are many more neighborhoods in that area, and many of them have newer construction. Some of those homes are built very close to one another.

Hope this helps.
