I'm searching for a realtor that knows the Bowie area.

I have been transferred and want to know if anyone has any recommendations on experienced realtors that can assist me with selling my current home.

Bill Franklin (Long and Foster) is an experienced guy for the Bowie area. He's savvy, but with all realtors, they will do the boilerplate and you as the seller will have to do everything it takes to make sure your home is show ready.

Boilerplate = 1 open house, 1 realtor open house, and 1 round of flyers in the mail at the min.

Desiree Callendar is another big name in Bowie.

You need not just a realtor to market your home, but you need a savvy guy who will guide you and the buyer's agent to make sure the closing and settlement process is as flawless as possible. Bill was good at that with selling my home.

Given all that, unless you price your home in Bowie agressively, you will have a tough time selling. For example, McMansion prices have dropped way down to the level they were back in 2002 before the real estate surge. Schools don't have the best rep in this area, so that will decrease your buyer pool. Also, PG County caters to Blacks as the wealthiest Black majority county in the US, so again, your buyer pool is limited that way also.

Also, your home will need to be in pristine condition. Also, be prepared to cover all closing costs. I think the key to me selling my house was when I offered a realtor bonus.
