The heat and humidity in D.C. is disgusting. But it's even worse because we don't have cars. You just have to walk out in the path of an angry sun and soak it all in. I used to drive to work with my car a/c on full blast so I would shed a bead of sweat. Now I've accepted showing up to work with a nice sweat glisten over me. At least everyone else in my office metro/walks too so they understand.
