Looks like Northwest is worse than Southeast.

I've been saying NW is worst then SE for awhile now.
SE just gets a bad rep because it has more housing projects, is the blackest quadrant, and just stereotypes. My parents and I just moved to NW from NE (Deanwood) and its definitely more crime up here and its more random.

NW is also the largest quadrant, and I think the most densely populated. That said, I think there's scaremongering going on about the other wards. Not to say all of SE is rosy namby-pamby land, but it's not a war zone either.

Well if you knew anything about the city then you would know that it's much larger and MUCH MUCH more populated. Of course more petty crimes like theft with happen. I hate when people post things like that when 9 times out of 10 they haven't seen any of the city other than their own. As a fireman I've seen what life is like up close in every quadrant and most neighborhoods.

I've been all up and down these words, and I'll still stand by my statement. Southeast maybe less populated, more grittier, and smaller in land size buts its crimes are different. I can't begin to name all the hoods I've done been through, sursum corda, barry farms, kenilworth, 17th n Euclid, 1-4, kdy, trinidad, langston lane, 3rd world (3rd street SE near eastover), condon terrace, ritternhouse, 640 (morton st), mayfair, 57th, 58th, clay terrace, 37th, choppa city, and list goes on. ive also been to rich stuff like spring valley, palisades, foxhall, chevy chase, and etc.... I know how this city is I don't need to be a police officer or fireman to come to any conclusions about how I feel. and I feel as though NW is crazier than SE is. NW in a way reminds me of a smaller Manhattan and Brooklyn, SE reminds me of Atlanta or New Orleans in a certain aspect. The crowd is different, the infrastructure is different, the atmosphere is different but the thing is, NY a lot more crazier, wealthy, and depending who you are, more dangerous then Atl or Nola. SE (not counting Capitol Hill) is hood for the most part and so is far Northeast. But both areas are still a bit calmer then NW. But I'm done typing for now.

LMAO,
You don't who has been where. I have hung out everywhere in the city from Woodland Terrace to Woodley Park. People in NW aren't getting shot, but they are sure as hell being robbed.
