As long as what I am doing is within the bounds of the law, there is no nonsense in my belief. Last I checked, it is legal for me to rent out a room in a home that I own to whoever I see fit. Now, if they were to cause damage to a neighbors property, excessive noise, etc then of course I should be taken to task.

I honestly live by a code of "don't be an *******" and have found it works out pretty nicely. I just don't need an HOA to tell me that my garbage can must be placed on the curb at exactly 7:05am and not a minute earlier.

Uber is awesome. After getting dissed by too many cab drivers in DC for not having cash, having a "broken" card machine, hustling to touch my luggage for a surcharge, and paying over a fair price in my opinion, I'm done with them. Ãœber is convenient, you know who is picking you up, and when they are picking you up.

I'd be willing to bet that OP is a taxi driver. Anyhow, nope. Just took two trips on Uber. Total cost $15.00. A taxi would have been double that.
