I felt sorry for people who had to drive into DC earlier today, man traffic was a mess.
It was a breeze if you biked
These weekends during the Cherry Blossom Festival always have the worst traffic. Someone at Eastern Market yesterday told me it took them 45 minutes to go down Independence Avenue to Eastern Market.
Ha, we were the tourists last week. We dropped the car at the hotel and walked everywhere and were only there for 3 days, 2 nights. Traffic was brutal, glad I didn't drive in it. I've seen DC before but the wife and son loved it.
Yes the cherry blossoms are beautiful. Yes DC is a tourist city. If the tourists bother you, move to the country. Cheaper living, NO tourists to bother you.
I truly hate this thing. 1)Trees don't excite me. 2)The tourists get in the way everywhere -- on Metro, on the bike trails, on the road (IMO the weekend of the parade is the worst gridlock ever in DC).
I'm curious to see what others think. I'm sure that I am in the minority.
hater!!! i think its boring to tho.
