Yeah I know. I'm just ranting because I hate this Festival.

I went to the cherry blossoms near the Monument with my family yesterday. They're gorgeous right now so catch them while you can.

The traffic is horrendous, so do take metro.

The number of people on the Tidal Basin this week has skyrocketed. My bike commute has turned into an obstacle course.

The media acts like the whole world visits the tidal basin. Most people I know never go there.

I felt sorry for people who had to drive into DC earlier today, man traffic was a mess.

It was a breeze if you biked

These weekends during the Cherry Blossom Festival always have the worst traffic. Someone at Eastern Market yesterday told me it took them 45 minutes to go down Independence Avenue to Eastern Market.

Ha, we were the tourists last week. We dropped the car at the hotel and walked everywhere and were only there for 3 days, 2 nights. Traffic was brutal, glad I didn't drive in it. I've seen DC before but the wife and son loved it.

Yes the cherry blossoms are beautiful. Yes DC is a tourist city. If the tourists bother you, move to the country. Cheaper living, NO tourists to bother you.
