And I'm going to go crazy if I hear this PR spin from WMATA one more time that "this is a two track system unlike NYC and we just don't have the time to maintain it." Tell that to the London Tube that is EXPANDING hours to be a 24/7 subway and also only has two tracks! Tell that to the Paris Metro! And these stupid local reporters eat this garbage spin up like they either have no brain or they're getting kickbacks.
Also, do we just want to put a big middle finger up to working class service workers who need Metro more than anyone? Not everyone has a 9-5 M-F job. The hours are too LIMITED already!

Until the most recent expansion of hours, London closed at midnight.
London though has 24/7 buses.
With that being said metro is poorly run because of the people at metro. Specifically the employees, all of them. They need to fire everybody, reconstitute the agency, and hire new people. Also make damn sure every employee is at will, union or not. This is the big problem with metro, zero accountability.
