I have worked for government for 9 years. All the sudden I recd. A derogatory finding on my background check with the incident from 2004. Now I have to gather all info and send it to the PRB??? Not sure what to do. The final disposition charges were a PO1???
A friend of mines accepted and relocated for a job in DC. About a year after she left, an FBI agent contacted me for a reference. It needed to be done in person and I had to take an oath that my statements were accurate. They asked a ton of personal questions!! But anyway, I guess it can go on for some time. Probably the more senior the position, even longer. My friend was a GS-14 and would be handling sensitive info for the FDIC.
