Forks is nothing but an oakie little logging town on the west end of Washington state. But the beauty of Forks is how slowed down life is there. Spiritually I will never forget it. When the sun does shine there that whole area is gorgeous. I'll never forget the view of Mt. Carrie I got one morning while taking a break from cutting trees. I got to try my hand at tree thinning. Tough gig!

But, as the branches dripped their morning dew water slowly on the ground, I peered through the branches one morning - I was all by myself - a BigFoot could've shown up at any time - I saw a gorgeous mountain at least 50 miles east. I though Mt. Olympus - but, no, it was actually Mt. Carrie. Mt. Carrie is 6,995 feet high and Mt. Olympus is 7,965 high - Olympus is the highest peak on the Oly Pen.

Beautiful country over there on the Olympic Peninsula - I will never forget it. I could care less about the movie 'Twilight' - stupid stuff. It's a tough crowd over in Forks - very stuck in their ways.

Oh, there's this little owl that angers them over there, too. Bet you guys can figure out what owl I'm talking about.
