The title pretty much says it all, is it impossible?

Do you mind paying a toll for 520? I would think something close to 520 would get you into Seattle and Redmond easily. Do you like Kirkland?

I guess that depends on what you consider a good commute. Here that is anything under about 45 minutes. Sammamish, Kirkland, Redmond are full of people working at both places, especially here in Sammamish. Seacove is right, though, the closer to an entrance to 520 the better. Sammamish will add about 10 minutes by car to the commute to SLU. The work hours make a huge difference. Working from 7-3 is ideal, the later the worse.

Yes, I would say that God's commute is likely impossible if you are human.

Mercer Island is a great place to commute from. 10 minutes to Seattle and Bellevue.

Bellevue, Mercer Island and south Kirkland are all perfectly located and have excellent schools. That's why they cost so much.

Lake Washington School District which encompasses the "east side" and Northshore School District which is a little north of that, are both excellent districts. These cover all your intended areas.

Very!

East side schools are better than in Seattle, some of them nationally ranked, but we have been very happy with Seattle schools despite its issues. Typically, the wealthier the area, the better funded and hence higher quality the schools (unfortunately). You could also live in Queen Anne or Wallingford, both of which are close to Amazon and have well-rated SPS schools. Or Ravenna. Really, lots of choices if one person can commute longer than the other.

Do you want suburban or more urban?
