I see now. You meant both.
We would just feel more comfortable on the north end. Less dependence on the ferry, too.

The noise. And therefore--both. Low noise = nobody bailing out on the RE.

Just for you: I know the area, GEOGRAPHICALLY. Is that better?
You didn't serve, amiright?

Tac-Sea 's post is a perfect example of the kind of judgmental people you'll run into. They're not only extremely liberal but they think it's their duty to insult and abuse those who disagree with their religion/ideology. I've thought about moving up there for a long while as I have a lot of family there. But they get tired of the folks virtue signaling and then abusing those who won't virtue signal back. So arrogant in their beliefs.

Well said. And Semper fi, if it fits your name. My mother was a Marine.
We already live in a very liberal area. Run into them a lot. Oak Harbor will be better in that regard.

We're going to spend a few days in OH, this October. A get-to-know trip. Can anyone recommend a decent motel?
Any other ideas appreciated.

We have loved staying at the Anchorage Inn, a B&B in Coupeville.
