I would recommend Olympia if you love to walk. Olympia is very pedestrian friendly and has miles of interconnected trails.

Spokane would be a better retirement destination. Just my opinion of course.

Thanks, everyone. I’m leaning towards Spokane. I will be going to visit in February to see how the winter is. Plus they have the 37 mile Centennial Trail that goes all the way to Coeur d’Alene!

As to robin9’s question, the intolerant ex-Californians in Prescott AZ on CD I mentioned in my post are a one off I hope...
