Where can one see all these epic PNW shots?

I've joined a number of PNW Groups on Facebook such as:

Washington Hikers and Climbers
Washington State Beauty
Hiking in the Pacific Northwest
Pacific NW Waterfalls
Pacific Northwest Photographers
PNW Photography
Stand Up Portland
Stoke on the water: Downwind Hood River

Very upbeat. Lots of inspiring hikes, paddles, adventures and photos. Very little whining or drama.

We spoke when he came back, I asked him how he liked it, and he said that in the beginning it was great but as the days went by, the gray started really getting to him, to the point that his energy level dropped significantly, he wasn't enjoying fun activities as much anymore and couldn't wait to get out of there. And he is physically active, they did some hikes and a lot of outdoor activity. You know, the usual vacation fun stuff. Not even every day drudgery of most regular working folk.
Funny I feel the same way after vacationing in LA. Was great for first few days, 80s and sunny, but then the constant sun and haze start to get you. When I returned to Boston, there was a light drizzle in the 50s with some moody clouds, it was absolutely bliss.

Oh, believe me, I hear you on that one.

Sounds like our last vacation to the Big Island during the summer. It was in the 90s with high humidity and Vog from the eruption occuring making it hard to breath. Couldn't wait to get back to Monterey where it was in in the low 70s with some morning fog along the coast.

I hated the countless string of days of sun and blue sky while living in CO especially at a mile high+. It felt oppressive. My eyes were always bloodshot and skin chapped when closer to the sun like that living in a dry, desert like climate.

It really boils down to one's preferences. I would hate living in Phoenix for similar reasons. But some love that type of drier climate. That's why the PNW is not for everyone.

Yes. I'm one of those whom heat sucks dry of energy and desire to do anything. Feeling sluggish, wilted, don't want to move much. Trying to stay indoors during late morning and through the afternoon in the summer. The sun here does not feel the same as at higher latitudes and with frequent clouds. It is blazing out of the crystal clear sky, very agressive and, yes, oppressive. Makes one feel like a shrimp on a barbie. How people live in Phoenix is beyond my personal understanding.

I think living with more overcast and clouds could make one like and appreciate sun more, however strange that sounds.

There was a question at elementary school "how does winter differ from summer?" One of the kids wrote, "winter is when people don't look for shade".

Yes, while I hated the sun in CO or other places when that's all one got for many, many days in a row, I really appreciate so much more now. When it bursts through the clouds it's an amazing and enjoyable things. I think its really about balance and being able to enjoy the seasons while looking forward to one's favorite aspects of each one. The rain brings forth life and abundant green throughout the year, especially during spring when the wildflowers and trees blossom.

One from Spring which I thoroughly enjoy - Oregon coast.

Managed to break away from work and get outside during lunch today. It was really nice out with intermingled sun, clouds and blue sky.
