(100% rain predicted everyday 44H/ 33L)
Some days are only 70% rain (usually 100%)
44H / 33L is quite warm for my PNW altitude in January
18mph is top speed of predicted winds (40 - 50mph is more normal gusts for west gorge)

PNW is a Banana Belt at the moment. (Slight chance of snow in next 10 days, usually there are a few snows for us Nov - Jan).

Weather forecasts are a funny thing. Even now with all the advanced weather models, they still seem like educated 'guesses' in terms of accuracy especially as one gets further out. To get something closer to the real thing, it seems you need to recheck the day before as the models shift so much while storms pause, speed up, move and fizzle out. No rain at all today, even though it was forecasted several days ago. Looks like a shift to the later afternoon.

As for snow, I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen any yet. Things could change a lot between now and next week when temps are supposed to drop. So that will be fun if it happens. We haven't had it since living in CO 12+ years ago. Hopefully it will be enough for the kids and dog to play in before quickly melting off.

Derek

Rain was forecast at 3:30PM today for me. It came early. Usually it is right on time. If they predict afternoon, I have my rain coat on by 11:59AM (I am quite near airport~1 mile off flight path, so they get flight data very quickly).

Snow... Enjoyed plenty in Colorado last weekend, was a beautiful light snow in Estes Park, and Denver got about 3" when were ran down to museum.

Snow in PNW, yes... hurry out and beat the rain to play in it (wear your wet suits) We have rarely received 'Powder' tho some super fine stuff filled our attic one winter (~ 20 wheelbarrel loads), blew through screened vents. (fixed that!). We had drifts same height as peak of roof (30') on one end of house, and green grass on the windward side.

Are you saying normal January weather is 100% chance of rain every day? Can that be right? Where exactly are you?

Up here in Bellingham there was couple sunny days and some sunbreaks during the 24th-1st, the balance was overcast or windy and rainy.

Of course not. There is no place like that, not even Forks.

How much time have you actually spent in Forks?
