Yeah, that's actually where my wife's family lives.

It's kind of funny lately. We've been getting some sun breaks between the storms which I've been documenting in part. This reminds me of what my native Washingtonian friends would say who moved to CA. They told of stories when the sun didn't come out much during the winter which is really a foreign concept to most Californians. But when it did people would stop to go outside and look at it like, Wow, what is this strange and wonderful thing?!! lol Now that I'm here I can relate to it more. With that in mind, here's from today's appearance which I enjoyed even if brief.

Big snow flakes began to fall this morning which we were looking forward to. However, it was short lived and temps rose and then the sun broke out! So I went for a neighborhood walk to enjoy the sun. It felt like a crisp Colorado winter day after the now minus the freezing temperatures.

In 2017, Portland got tons of snow while Seattle had almost nothing. It depends where the storm hits.

Seattle looks beautiful today after the storm with sun shinning on the water. You can check it out from the cam here:

Snowing right now on the peninsula. Where I am, I think it’s been about 6” total, at this given moment, since beginning on Sunday, a little (very little) sun today. My little California dog is doing better than my native Washington dog.

Wow, that's a lot of snow. Are you living at a bit higher elevation in the hills or at sea level? I think you mentioned somewhere near Olympia, correct?

I’m on the north Olympic Peninsula, outside of PA, but they are having deep snow “in town” from what I heard. The snow is now blowing horizontally, I’ve only seen that in North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado. It’s very windy, too. Looks closer to 24” now, I’ll measure later, don’t want a face full of snow. Dogs now saying “nope, I’ll hold it in, thanks”. I’m surprised to still have electric and internet *fingers crossed*.
