We've had some nice sun breaks this week between the rain and clouds. Today was exceptionally beautiful. I enjoyed a nice paddle along the Columbia with some cottonwood trees still holding their color. Its amazing how long fall colors can last here in the PNW. When we lived in Colorado it was very vibrant and normally quickly ended with the aspen leaves coming down after some harsh storms and high winds blew through.

It's been sunny often the last few days. The sun is shining now too and looks like mostly sunny and cold next week.

Thanks, Mauri. Hopefully I'll give inspiration to some looking for more than gloom and doom this time of the year.

I'm getting a little tired of waking up to this bright thing in the sky in late November. Shouldn't it be hibernating now?

Haha, not for the next few days. And it will be glorious. After that I'll be ready for some more rain.

Had a nice paddle this morning on the Columbia. A bald eagle flew right by me and then sat in a tall tree and just watched me paddle by. Wish I had a zoom lens. The sun came out for a while and I could see Mt. Hood in distance. It was a beautiful morning. Still some fall leaves on the trees.

Yes! However, I just started wearing booties the past couple of weeks. Before that, it wasn't too bad. And for many months I was in trunks and rash guard. It was definitely longer than I expected before moving here.
