Yes, we finally got some rain today after a long dry period.

Hooray!

That was a bit too long to go without our rain.

Hahaa. Yes, everyone has their weather preferences, apparently. Being from a 'drier' climate overall, I really did not enjoy the lack rain. Drought is a big problem along with associate wildfires. So every time it rains folks celebrate, seriously. Though its never enough and so water rationing is in affect. Because of this water bills are also astronomical with all kinds of penalties for overuse. And don't even try to wash your car in front of our house! Someone will probably report you.

I guess if you are more used to regular rain, you may want more of the opposite - days, weeks, months without it. The same could be said for sun. When we lived in CO I actually dreaded so many bright, sunny days which seemed oppressive especially a mile high where its more intense. Different strokes for different folks.

give it about 10 - 40 yrs... Annual Trends do not show up much when you have been around a couple months.

It might be 'just right' (3 bears style)
Keep a Uhaul reserved just in case someone in the family 'snaps'.

Loved living in CO on a ranch (outdoors everyday), the 'windburn' at winter temps was a little troublesome (and dry cracked skin). Overnight Chinook winds I do miss in PNW (still waiting for them!).

Reverse Icicles (growing out of ground when winds are over 50mph for a few days) is one of many unique weather things I have found in PNW. +/- (nice to look at from indoors, or on a 5 minute walk to the mailbox).

Winter is coming (or maybe not till Nov 2020), Not enough rain? there is always Juneau (not so far away from here). Or Forks, WA

For PNW surfing... our kids are native PNW, so they have never used a wet suit for OR / WA summer surfing (maybe that have fur / down and webbed feet?).

Wonderful day outside today for outdoor activities. Went for a paddle then a hike. Gotta love it this time of the year with extended fall colors. No complaints AFAIK.
