Do you actually go outside at all? For me the saving grace of a cold, cloudy climate would be that I wouldn't feel bad about being a couch potato.

Nope. I usually wear pants and a sweatshirt or rain jacket. I've mentioned other times that I prefer having to dress warm during the cooler months and be outside than dress lightly and be outside during the summer. I can be comfortable wearing a sweatshirt or jacket when it's 40 F, but if I'm wearing shorts and a t shirt when it's 90 F, I'll still be uncomfortable despite dressing lightly.
I'm only outside for maybe fifteen minutes on an average day
(walking from my car to wherever I'm going, getting the mail, taking the dog out, etc.). But I often go on hikes and play tennis during the spring and fall. During the winter I chop and collect wood which keeps me outside for a good while.
Ironically I'm outside most during my least favorite season. I work at a waterpark during the summer and get to work in the intense sun, heat, and humidity all season. So my preference for cooler weather has some merit (not that I need an excuse).
